A Polariton-Stabilized Spin Clock

By strongly coupling NV-centers in diamond to a microwave cavity with opposite temperature coefficient, we produce a polaritonic resonance that is highly stable against environmental variables with low-SWaP timekeeping potential.

Quantum Diamond Magnetometry

Nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamond possess optical transitions, the ability to be spin-polarized, long coherence times, and sensitivity to ac and dc magnetic fields. I study problems on cutting-edge of magnetometry using these solid state color centers.

Rydberg EIT Electrometry

Rydberg atoms are atoms that have been excited to a very high principal quantum number n. They unique properties make them ideally suited for electric field sensing, and I study this via the method of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) in a vapor cell.
